Wait... who?

I was watching the republican convention today and had an interesting thought.
As I watched, I realized that the President of the United States of America can speak and millions and millions of people with enthusiastically clap and shout and scream. This man is often called "The Most Powerful Man in the World".

"Judge me not for retaining thy visage of George Dub Bush on mi's blog."

Then I was reminded of a devotional I attended at BYU where President Monson spoke. At the time he wasn't president of the church, but he is now.

President Bush can have millions of people hanging on his everyword and cheer at the end of every sentence like he's a rockstar. A man who men would throw millions of dollars at. A man who speaks with leaders of the world. But, in the end, just a man called by the people.

President Monson can enter a basketball court and a miracle occurs as thousands of consonant rude, immature, loud, vulgar, idiotic college students stand silently, solemnly in reverence and respect for a man called by God.

Wait... so who is the most powerful man in the world?
