3

You ask people what their favorite color is and they'll tell you. Favorite food, favorite animal, favorite book, movie, tv show. Now favorite number; you ask this and you'll be lucky if they don't give you a random number off the top of their head. And for the real answers, you'd be hard press to find a reason why they are so partial to the number.

Well I will give you my favorite number, and the reasoning behind it. Strap in, this is a ride.

My favorite number is 27. and the reason? the reason begins with the number 3. I can hear you now, "But Ryan, 3 isn't 27, your logic is flawed". I'd like to respond to this with: shut up, kid. It'll make sense.

Now the number 3. It appears everywhere. And where ever it pops up winning combinations follow.
  • The holy trinity
  • the word trifecta
  • Three main monotheistic religions that seem to be the cause and solution to every world problem.
  • Three in the first presidency (and any presidency for that matter)
  • Three little boys in my family
  • Three siblings in the Wiggin family
  • Bible, Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price
  • Three main colors (red, yellow, and blue for primary and artist; red, green, and blue for physicist and other scientist)
  • 3 good Harry Potter books (i ain't saying which ones they are)
As I have shown, 3 is a pretty happening number. This next part involves math, but it's cool anyway.

Consider math; there are different layers or levels depending on how indepth you get. You have add and subtract, logs and exponentials, integrals and derivatives, multiply and divide. Let's start with the most basic: + & -.

You can consider adding and subracting the first level of mathematics. What happens when you add the same number over and over again? Multiplication (isn't this fun yet?)! Since multplication is the next step up it can be considered the second level of mathematics. You'll see this coming but, what do happens when you times the same number over and over again? Exponents. Exponents can now be viewed as the third level of mathematics.

So if you take the number three, use the third level of math against it, and use another 3 as your input what do you get. Hint: another way to right it is 3^3.

27

You involve three in every possible way when it comes to math and you get the number 27. If three is cool then 27 is like the greek god of cool.

And that is why 27 is my favorite number.
