"All life begins with Nu and ends with Nu. This is the truth! This is my belief! At least for now..."
-The Mystery of Life, Vol. 841, Ch. 26
Such truth! And from a video game no less! Anyone who has ever said that juego's de videos are not a proper medium for art or enlightenment is a faltering old poop.
Irregardless - onward!
Knowledge - true, unadulterated, pristine, pure knowledge - and truth are not mutually inclusive. To know something does not make it true; the converse is just as valid: a truth remains a truth even if no one knows it.
This is truth; this is my belief - at least for now.
I stumbled upon this gem whilst writing my English paper, "The Dark Knight and the Illusion of Free Will". It is, simply put, 14 pages of blissful bewilderment. It will open windows to your mind that you thought you boarded up years ago. It also establishes my position as a savant of the non-idiot kind. It is far too long (probably) for a blog, so bodhi, in this instance, is not a click away.
My original essay was far less inspired. It was banal, but in it's banality it lead to more affected revelations than it itself entailed. I was to write about Darwinian Evolution and the facade that science and religion are enemies one to another. My original argument was that science and religion are really just two different methods of acheiving the same goal: truth. How I could I go wrong with that argument? Anyone who has read Angels and Demons knows that I have Dan Brown on my side. In fact, I dare say that the entire book was a multi-hundred page spanning, in-depth exposition of the condundrum I just presented.
Turns out I was wrong. And anyone who says different is wrong - or not. The amazing thing is that the conclusion derived from the forthcoming argument states that your wrongness is not inherit - concrete due to some cosmic discipline of right and non-right. Instead it is your wrongness is found in your actions, and your alliances as pertaining to correctness can be altered as simply as your habitual practices.
All this arises from one simple axiom: religion is the pursuit of truth; science, results.
Elaborations to follow.
