A Conglomeration of Thoughts

Anger changes the world.

It's true. The sad feel as though they don't deserve a better station in life. The fearful won't act. The content feel no need to change. The apathetic don't care either way. Only the angry enact change in this world.

There is another: love. But they rarely enact change for themselves. They mostly change the world for others. So you can't rely on being loving if you want something to change. The moment you are filled with love and charity you completely forget about yourself and your problems and go out of your way to lift others up. So you can't use love for yourself. And the majority of us can't wait around for a Robin Hood to come and drop riches upon us. We need action now. So if you want to change your station you need to rely on anger.

And it works. Don't mistake anger for hatred. Hatred gets you nowhere. Hatred is just setting everything on fire. You loose everything you have, but you've destroyed others dreams, and that's all you care about. Hatred is the opposite of love. You cease caring about yourself, but instead of wanting to help others, like love, you just want to tear others down. So don't mistake hatred with anger. Hatred will not help you.

Anger has a price. Contention. Loss of peace. Happiness now becomes a consequence and not a choice. In some instances it's totally worth it. Sometimes that anger needs to swell up. Sometimes the crucible's too hot to enjoy. Sometimes it is better to not be happy; if you're doing what you want. Sometimes the best thing to do is be sullen, numb yourself to what needs to be done, sprint through the pain, and find yourself higher than you were before. At these moments, take a breather, enjoy life for a moment. Then hold your breath and allow that anger to push past obstacles to achieve your goal.

If it weren't for anger, America would've never become what it is today. If those in Europe who were being persecuted for their religions were fearful, apathetic, content, or sad they would've never acted as they did. They were angry, and rightfully so. And they used that anger to act. They fought, they persisted, they went through harrowing times. I'm sure living such troubled times they rarely found peace and happiness. But it needed to be done, so they did it. They couldn't wait for one day a loving monarch to give them their rights. That would take too long, if it ever happened. So they let their anger drive them. And as such, the world is a better place.

Again, don't mistake anger for hatred. Crimes aren't done out of anger. They are done out of hatred. Anger is actually the opposite. Anger drives people to achieve justice. It's anger that drives the victims, their friends, and families, to bring these criminals to justice. They are angry and they act. They go beyond themselves and do things they normally wouldn't do, because that anger is stirring in them.

I have no idea where I'm going with this.
